There are several built-in tools in the editor that make creating your website easier:

Wix Editor Elements
1. Editor toolbar – The toolbar located on the right side of the editor.
2. Rulers – The horizontal ruler at the top of the editor and the vertical ruler on the right side.
3. Site boundaries – Dotted lines that show the limits of your website.
4. Element alignment – An automatic alignment tool that appears when you move elements.
To enable or disable editor tools:
Click Tools in the top panel of the editor.
Check or uncheck the box to enable or disable the desired tool.
1. Wix Editor Toolbar
The toolbar is located on the right side of the editor. You can use it to edit elements on your website.

2. Rulers and Guides in the Wix Editor
Vertical and horizontal rulers are available in the Wix editor panel, helping you precisely align elements on your website down to a single pixel. Rulers can also help align elements relative to each other across different pages of your site.
Important: Rulers will not be visible on the published website.
How to add rulers
If you click on a specific position on the ruler, you will see a position marker:

Elements will snap to the grid lines when you move or resize them.
3. How to set site boundaries on Wix?
Site boundaries help you structure your website correctly. To ensure compatibility across all browsers and devices, place your content within the site boundaries.
The page width within the site grid is fixed at 980 px. The page height depends on the content of your website. It is important to place all website elements within the vertical grid boundaries to ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
Important: Elements placed outside the vertical boundaries will be cut off on tablets and screens with lower resolutions.
You can place full-width elements on your website (for example, strips or galleries), but make sure that elements such as text are still positioned within the vertical grid boundaries.
To set site boundaries:
At the top of the editor, click Tools.
Check the box next to Site Boundaries.
Note: Site boundaries are not visible on the published website — they are only a guide to help you design and place content on your site.
Section boundaries
Sections also have grid lines, and just like in the editor grid, you should place your content within the section grids to ensure it displays correctly across devices and browsers.
This is what the editor boundaries look like:

Important: Column boundaries take priority over the editor boundaries, so you can place elements outside the editor’s vertical boundaries if they are inside the column boundaries.
4. How to use the Element Alignment tool on Wix?
The Element Alignment tool helps align elements with perfect precision. Purple guide lines mark the center and edges of elements on your site. When you drag and place an element in a certain position, it will align with the guides within 5 pixels.
To enable or disable the Element Alignment tool:
At the top of the editor, click Tools.
Check or uncheck the box next to Element Alignment.
Tip: You can hold the Ctrl key while dragging elements to temporarily disable this tool. This does not lock the elements.
